Given the warming climate, Ukraine has created and maintains an extensive network of reclamation and irrigation systems. According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, there are almost 6 million hectares of reclaimed land in Ukraine.
However, the reclamation systems are currently worn out by more than 80 percent and need to be updated. In this regard, in 2021, irrigation systems operated on only 25% of reclaimed agricultural land.
According to analysts, agricultural production has significant potential for development. The main condition for this is significant investment in the relevant infrastructure. One of the sources is attracting additional investment in the agricultural sector.
In view of the above, the development of reclamation networks is a promising area of investment and innovation.
